Banky W has tweeted on his fans regarding BBN

Banky W has tweeted saying he has no power to get his fans or followers into BBN and they need to stop sending him messages.

Writing on social media, the musician said; “Good luck to all Big Brother applicants. By the way, @Ebuka has no influence/involvement over who gets selected. His work only starts when the finalists are in the house. I also have ZERO influence, so pls stop asking me to talk to him. Just go for the auditions and kill it! “Just remember that there are thousands of people who are also auditioning for the same 12 spots… so you have to make an effort to stand out. Do something funny, or interesting, or crazy, or outrageous or whatever.. anything to make the judges notice you.”

25 Things Obasanjo Said About Buhari, Osinbajo And INEC on Saturday January 20, 2019

Obasanjo Said About Buhari, Osinbajo And INEC

1. “Democracy becomes a sham if elections are carried out by people who should be impartial and neutral umpires, but who show no integrity...” 2. “The transmission and collation of results are subject to interference, manipulation and meddling. If the INEC’s favourite political party wins with all the above infractions, the result will be conclusively declared and if not, there will be a ‘rerun’.” 3. “The track record of the present INEC is fairly sordid and all men and women of goodwill and believers in democracy must be prepared for the worst from INEC and their encouragers...” 4. “Amina Zakari has become too controversial a figure to be able to give assurance of free, fair and credible election for INEC.” 5. “A judge does not sit in judgement over a case once he or she becomes a cause for controversy... Madam Amina Zakari should, in honour, stay out and not be seen as a source of contamination of the election.” 6. “Amina Zakari is not the only Commissioner that can be in the Collation Centre. Let the INEC Chairman act boldly and impartially and prove his absolute neutrality and responsiveness...” ON BUHARI 7. “Some men of God would hold President Buhari to his word on free, fair, credible and peaceful elections. I am a realist... I am not persuaded by a track record of hollow words, impunity, insensitivity and ‘I-couldn’t-care-less’ attitude.” 8. “It is no use, at this juncture, to keep lamenting about the failure, incompetence, divisiveness, nepotism, encouragement and condonation of corruption by Buhari administration...” 10. “President Buhari and his hatchet men in the coming election think that the judiciary must be primed in their favour. Hence, the Chief Justice of Nigeria... has been harassed and prosecuted...” 11. “President Buhari and his people believe no stone should be left unturned to rig Buhari in. It seems to be a ploy to intimidate the judiciary as a whole in preparation for all election cases that will go before them.”

Atiku Abubakar "I will challenge President Buhari to debate if he choose a date and time

New Challenge “I, however, challenge President Buhari to choose a date and time for a debate where he will be present and I will be there, hopefully with the other candidates as well. I flew from US to Nigeria this evening just to attend the debate, this shows my passion to get Nigeria working again”

I Received Death Threats Over Racy Nun Pictures I Took – Beverly Osu .

Popular entertainer, Beverly Osu, has often been in the news, especially since she took part in the Big Brother Africa competition in 2013, tagged – The Chase. Towards the end of 2018, the model turned actress stunned many Nigerians after she released some pictures in which she wore a raunchy nun outfit and was seen smoking a cigarette. Many people, especially Catholics, considered it as distasteful and an insult to their faith, but the entertainer feels otherwise.
In a WhatsApp chat with Saturday Beats, Osu revealed that she was the creative director of the photo shoot but did not expect the backlash Nigerians meted on her. She said, I received a lot of death threats in my direct message on social media. I also received phone calls, saying I shouldn’t come out. People called my mother to threaten her life but I felt that they were all bluffing. Sincerely, I didn’t expect it, and there was nothing to cope with because I wasn’t bothered. I was not scared because I’m not afraid of anybody. If the Christians always claim they are Christlike; with the number of Christians in the world, the world should have become a better place since the 90s. I always say this, forget religion and find God.

I Am Sure We Have Been Able To Save Lives With ‘Logo Benz’ – Lil Kesh

Lil Kesh, a rapper formerly signed to Olamide Adedeji’s YBNL Records, says he’s certain that the controversial ‘Logo Benz’ single has saved lives. The song, featuring Kesh and Olamide, drew criticism for allegedly promoting money rituals. If money no enter I go do blood money, a line which means I’ll do blood money if I’m broke, drew the ire of many Nigerians. Following the release of the song, the rappers were accused of insensitivity and glorifying money rituals. Reacting in a chat with PUNCH, Kesh maintained that the song was recorded to create awareness.

He said: Logo Benz was inspired by things we saw on social media and in our environment. One of the trending news now is how people are stealing pants for money rituals. One of those things they buy with the money is Benz cars. We thought we should do a song about it and create awareness; this is what we have been doing as musicians. But I guess people got the wrong impression. When it came out, it was heavily criticised and people felt we were promoting money rituals. I understood why it happened because some parts of the lyrics were not too clear. If we had looked for a better way to put the story out there, people would have understood it better. We have been able to create so much awareness on the issue and I am sure we have been able to save lives. Even if it was just one person we saved by releasing the song, I am happy.

Adekunle Gold narrates how his sister died and money couldn't save her

The year 2011 is one that would forever remain in the memory of popular singer, Adekunle Gold, as it was the year he lost his sister, whom he refers to as his best friend, to a heart-related disease. To eulogise his younger sister, the urban highlife singer released a song, ‘Ire,’ last year.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, the singer recalled that although they spent a lot of money in a bid to get his sister well again, she lost the battle to the ailment. Gold said, “My sister was one of the few best friends I had but death took her away.

She had a heart-related disease and I thought she could beat the disease but she did not make it. We sang together a lot and we shared the same dream. I was her best friend in the house, so it really shook me when I lost her. I remember her every year and reminisce about the great time we had together. I wish she was alive to celebrate my success with me because this was our dream. “The funny thing is that we had the money; it was not that we could not afford to treat her, but it was just unfortunate that she died. If I was as popular back then as I am now, what would I have done differently? I do not think that I would have done anything differently because we spent money on her. I was at home when she died, so by the time I got to the hospital to see her, she had died.” He further stated how ecstatic he was when he met with King Sunny Ade, who is one of his major influences in the Nigerian music scene. “A lot of times, I hear people comparing me with King Sunny Ade; they mention his name when they mention mine and that is an amazing feat. It is really great but like I always tell people, I would prefer it if people see me as Adekunle Gold.

“When I met King Sunny Ade and he was singing my song word for word, I was very honoured and humbled. It made a very great impression on my life. Who would have thought that King Sunny Ade would know my song and even sing it word for word? I am hopeful that we will collaborate to do something together. I have been working on it and I am hoping that it works out. “Ten years ago, I wanted to be as successful as I am today. I thought about it, prayed for it and worked towards it. I do not think I would be cocky if I say that I knew I would become successful, but I did not know when I would become famous. I am grateful that everything I dreamt about is coming to fruition. I am grateful that everything I have laid my hands on has prospered.”

When asked about his marriage to fellow singer, Simi, Gold simply said, “What do you think?”

Why I don’t own a car but prefer to buy for other people –Mr Eazi reveals

This might come as a shock to many lovers of Mr Eazi and his work as in a recent interview with Saturday Beats, the Leg Over singer revealed that he did not own a car.

In his explanation, he stated that he preferred using Uber. He further said, “If your self-esteem is based on how much you have in your bank account, then you have a serious self-esteem issue. Right from when I sang my very first song, someone offered me N80m record

deal but I turned it down and at the time, I did not have N300,000 in my account.

“My first record deal offer from the UK was £356,000, I turned it down but at the time, I had done a tour and the total amount  I earned was £12,500. I used the money to shoot the videos of some of my songs. I was left with £20; they were offering me £365,000, but I turned it down. The reason I did that was because my value was not dependent on what was in my account.

“Till today, I use Uber but I do not care and by the way, I don’t even pay for the ride because I was given Uber credit. But if you see me in the Uber vehicle and feel that Mr Eazi is poor, what is my business (with that)? For instance, everybody around me has cars, and besides, I buy cars for people. If it makes sense for me to use an Uber, why should I drive? Why would I pay about N100m for a car that I would probably drive just five times a year?

“There are better things to do with that money. In the short time I have spent on earth, I have made a lot of money. While I was into mining, I had so much money that I was living at a place that was a stone’s throw away from the airport in Accra and I was paying my rent in dollars.

“I was making a lot of money. That shows you how expensive it was but I went from there to squatting with my friend in a one-room apartment. I was sleeping on the floor in his room. Also, when I was doing the business of selling beverages, we started with a crate and in a short while, we began to import four containers every two weeks. From importing four containers every two weeks, we went back to nothing. In my life, I have had ups and down. If my self-worth was based on material things, I would have killed myself.” The singer admitted that he had received a lot of backlash on social media simply because of his relationship with Temi, one of the daughters of a billionaire oil magnate, Femi Otedola. However, Mr Eazi said such things would never faze him.

People can say what they want to say and if you want to let everything they say about you bother you, then you are not going to live, especially when you are in the public eye.

“You have to realise that as an entertainer, your life becomes a form of entertainment to others. I really do not care about what anybody thinks. He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world, so why care about what the world is saying?” The singer said.
