KIDNAPPER EVANS, NARRATES HOW MEN OF THE SARS UNIT AND IGP IRT KILLED 30 PEOPLE IN HIS PRESENCE
Arrested billionaire kidnapper, Evans, has narrated how SARS officers and IGP Intelligence response team, IRT, members killed 30 people while torturing him. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Evans made the revelation, on Friday, during his trial at the Ikeja High Court in Lagos. His words, “Insp. Haruna (member of IG’s IRT) took me to the I-G’s Guest House at Obalende, Lagos. Sunny, the 2 I/C (second in command) to Abba Kyari, Head of the IRT, Mr Christian Ugu, Mr Phillip and other police officers were there.
Ugu was smoking, he quenched the cigarette on my hand. They took me to the backyard. Phillip then asked the policemen to walk on me and when I started bleeding, he said you think we are joking here. At the backyard, I saw some people that I was paraded with. Phillip ordered Haruna to bring a big brown cellotape, handkerchief and poly bags. Haruna forced a handkerchief into the mouth of one of them.
He used the cellotape to tightly tape his mouth and face and put a poly bag over his head and cellotaped it, and used another poly bag and cellotaped it for the second time, and they left the man on the ground.
The man on the ground was shaking; he peed, defecated on himself, after a while, he went quiet. Haruna then told me can you see I have travelled him.
Phillip asked if I knew the method of killing and I said no; they said that it is called ‘Saddam Hussein’. He said that there is no way an autopsy can predict the cause of death of the five people they had just killed.”
Evans said after witnessing the execution, 25 sheets of paper were brought for him to sign as his confessional statements. He noted he was trembling with fear.
“Abba Kyari told me to beg for forgiveness in my interview with journalists, and also to inform the world I had cancer which I don’t have. The police also killed one Felix Chinemeri in my presence,” he added
After listening to the submission of Evans, the trial judge, Hakeem Oshodi adjourned the case until November 23 for continuation of defence in the trial-within-trial.
EMIR SANUSI LAMIDO ll : STOP ELECTING LEADERS WITH NO EDUCATION
Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Saturday advised Nigerians to stop electing leaders without education into public offices.
According to TheNation, the Emir said this at the 6th convocation ceremony of Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja.
His words: “We have to take an interest in the quality of our leaders and representatives in the level of education. If you look around this country at many levels of leadership, we have elected and we have chosen to elect people who do not have an education.
And because they are not educated, they cannot give an education. We need to lay more emphasis on the quality of people we elect to executive and legislative offices and we need to make sure that those to whom we entrust policy are themselves educated and know the value of education.
Let us invest more in education and let us give up some of the privileges that we have such as the trillions we are spending subsiding petroleum products. That money should go into educating our young people.
We are spending too much monies on roads and bridges and trains and too little money educating our children. Let us educate these young people and they will build the roads, train and bridges.
We do not need to invite the Chinese to do that for us. And until the leadership at all levels in this country and the followership understand that this is what is most important, because I do understand sometimes that if a governor does not build roads or bridges, he is seen as not have been performed by the people.
We build all these highways and there are more pedestrians on the highways than cars and those pedestrians are most often people without education and help. Development is first and foremost about people.”

Nigerian big boy, Emanuel "Otunba Cash" Aneke, who is also the CEO of Instanbul Entertainment in Nigeria was recently arrested alongside his gang members O. Popoola, AA Oyemade, AT Fajolu and BO Balogun in Turkey for $1.4million scam in Denmark.

Oba of Lagos urges President Buhari on former president Obasanjo
Akiolu advised President Muhammadu Buhari to prevent former President Olusegun Obasanjo from “escaping” from the country once he emerges winner of the February 2019 presidential election.
In an interview with Punch, the Lagos monarch said he will do everything within his power to ensure that President Buhari emerges winner in the election and once the results are announced, he will advice the presidnet to immediately put up measures to ensure the former president does not escape from Nigeria.
Oba Akiolu and Obasanjo have been at loggerheads since the era of the Bola Tinubu administration after the former governor and Obasanjo had a fallout that saw the funds meant for the state seized by the Federal government.
Speaking of Obasanjo, Tinubu and Buhari during the interview, Oba Akiolu said
We were all witnesses to the battle Bola Ahmed had with (former President Olusegun) Obasanjo. In his first four years as the President of Nigeria, instead of facing governance, he was busy pursuing Tinubu and coming after Lagos. And that is why Lagos is as strong as it is today. He succeeded in capturing many other states except Lagos. God was with us. All the monarchs and religious leaders stood firm with us. At that time, I even said I would rather lose my life than allow him to capture Lagos. Let me tell you that this coming 2019 election, I will use everything God has endowed me with to appeal to God that Buhari should be elected, because some of those who are throwing their hats into the ring now are not honest people. It will be like a magic, but Buhari will be re-elected. And the very week he’s re-elected, I would announce and encourage him to close the borders so that Obasanjo will not escape.

Nigerian woman gives birth to her first child at 67 how she did it
For 39 years, a Nigerian couple prayed and hoped fervently for a child of their own.
The wife, 67, went from one hospital to another in Nigeria and India to have the fruit of the womb.
The couple consulted doctor after doctor.
They went through various tests and procedures.
But they refused to give up.
Yesterday, Professor Samuel Olu Otunbusin and his wife Ajibola got their hearts’ desire: a baby at last.
And a boy, too.
Mrs. Otunbusin delivered at Atoke Medical Centre, Abeokuta, making her the latest in a long line of women who have benefited from In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
The new father and mother were beside themselves with joy yesterday soon after the baby arrived.
Professor Otunbushin said the baby’s arrival was the fulfilment of a revelation he had 35 years ago.
“God revealed to me 35 years ago about the birth of my son Oluwatobi,” he said, as he savoured the moment.
Ajibola narrated how her efforts to have a child took her to various specialist hospitals in Nigeria and India.
“This might be hard to believe but I am 67 years old and I have been married for over 39 years. I have done several IVFs both in India and in Nigeria that failed.
“At several points, I had said to myself: ‘So I will die without a child of my own?’
“But I never gave up on God. I held on to the belief that at the appointed time, God would remember me. And my husband kept encouraging me.
“In 2018, I was directed to St. Ives Fertility Centre by the Holy Spirit. I started the procedure with joy and I ended it with joy from above.”
She advised other women who are encountering challenges with childbearing not to lose hope.
She urged them to remain positive and try all medical methods while also looking up to God for the fruit of the womb.
The medical team was led by the Head of IVF unit, Dr Babatunde Okewale.
A 72 year old Indian woman Daljinder Kaur and her husband had a son in April, 2015, through IVF after trying unsuccessfully for 46 years to have a baby without medical help.
She is thought to be the world’s oldest mother.
Mrs. Otunbusin may be the oldest mum in Nigeria.

NIGERIAN CUSTOMS INTERCEPTS N28M CHINA-MADE CONTAINER LOAD OF SOUP
The Nigeria Customs Service on Friday said it had intercepted a container full of soup and other edible items worth N27,960,000 being imported from China.
The NCS said the container, which was cleared in one of the ports in Lagos, was intercepted by the Comptroller-General of Customs Strike Force team based on intelligence provided by the intelligence unit of the NCS.
It added that some other items that had semblance of mushrooms were already deteriorating in the container and could pose serious danger to human health when consumed.
The NCS had in the past intercepted a 20ft container of Egusi, Jollof Rice, Ogbono and yam porridge imported from India at the Tin-Can Island Port in Lagos.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Comptroller and National Coordinator, CGC Strike Force team, Abdullahi Kirawa, who spoke to journalists on Friday while displaying some of the items seized by the NCS between September 19 and October 18, 2018, said importing pots of stew and such edible items without verification, as they were labelled in Chinese language, could pose serious harm to the consumers.
He said it was high time Nigerians started having more preference for things produced in the country rather than imported ones.
He said, “How can someone import soup into this country? They were carefully concealed inside the container. I will advise that Nigerians should ignore xenocentrism and embrace ethnocentrism.
“Our quest for foreign goods and items must be discouraged and we must work hard to embrace and patronise home-made goods, including our delicious stew that are prepared from our homes. We need to stop engaging in this type of business.
“This type of soup poses danger to public health, to the economy and of course our teeming youths. If soup could be imported, then what else are we going to do? This is something we need to reflect on. This is a call that this type of importation of goods must be discouraged.”
He said there was a need for increased sensitisation to forestall a recurrence.
