Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo surrenders to police on Rape allegations

The Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, has surrendered to security agents and is currently being interrogated at Police Force CID Headquarters in Abuja over rape allegations made by Timi Dakolo's wife, Busola Dakolo. Fatoyinbo is being interviewed by a team of 4 led by Asst Commissioner of Police, Adaku Uche Anya.

 Fatoyinbo is expected to be at the division for a while since Dakolo’s questioning was said to have taken about eight hours. Mrs Dakolo in a tell-all interview published in June, accused Fatoyinbo of raping her when she was 17 years old, as a member of his church in Illorin .

 The clergyman has since denied the allegation and accused Busola Dakolo and other women that have accused him of sexual molestation, of attempting to extort him.

A Lady sells her baby for N500k, tells husband that she lost the pregnancy! A housewife identified as Chinasa Ukaonu has been paraded by the Imo state police command for allegedly selling her baby for N500k after delivery.

 The suspect who lied to his husband Promise Ukaonu at the eight-months old of her pregnancy that she wants to stay with her brother in Mbaitoli for a while as part of the plan to sell the baby. Chinasa Ukaonu who went to a baby factory where two nurses, Esomonu Dorothy and Eke Catherine delivered her of the baby has sent a message of losing the pregnancy to his husband. Suspecting foul play, Promise reported the incident to the police.

Upon being arrested, the mother named the two nurses who helped her out during delivery and also revealed she sold her baby for N500k to one Mrs. Chioma Amadi. The State Police Commissioner, Rabiu Ladodo said the paraded suspects will be charged to court after investigation has been concluded. He also confirmed that the baby has been recovered.

Akwa Ibom residents, motorists cry out over dangerous gutter, bad road Residents and motorists plying Anua Mbak Ishiet Road in Ekpene Ibia Uruan, Akwa Ibom state are lamenting the state of the road which has been reportedly under construction since 2017. A rider  said that in the process of constructing the road, an underground gutter was “constructed for easy drainage along a road that leads from Ekpene Ibia to Ibiaku Ishiet still in Uruan, which part of it (the gutter), has been abandoned for a year now. “The gutter has posed a great risk in the area which is now affecting the farmers, the pedestrians, motorists, motorcyclists”.

 “The area is in peril, and transportation is now difficult. "We are pleading on the government to come to our rescue because going out and coming in is a difficult and a dangerous task, especially at night. And we are always afraid to send our kids on errands" a resident of the area said.

 Motorists complained they have unable to use the road because it is no more accessible because of the gutter. Similarly, market women in the area also complained that carrying their wares to the market is now difficult and has caused them more money than before. They urge the state government and the construction company in charge of the contract to come to their rescue by completing the road construction, including the gutter.

Cars Brain Box Thieves were caught today in Lagos

 The operatives of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad, a unit of the Lagos State Police Command, have arrested two suspects, who specialized in vandalizing vehicles and stealing their brain boxes.

 The suspects Sodiq Musa, 28 years old and Saidu Atiku, 34 years old were arrested at 27, Awolowo road Ikeja with three Toyota vehicle brain boxes while Ridwan Adamu escaped with the fourth box. One of the suspects, Sodiq claimed he was a graduate of Political Science from one of the Nigerian University where he studied Political Science before He came to Lagos in 2017 in search of greener pasture.

 “I worked in Lagos as a barbeque man in various hotels and events before I met Ridwan who introduced me to brain box theft where He taught me all the antics and styles.” “We use ‘magic stone’ that is, vehicle spark plug to break vehicle windows without attracting attention. It takes two minutes to loose a Toyota Hiace bus brain box and it takes four minutes to lose a Toyota Hilux box”. “The spark plug reduces the noise and effects quick break of any vehicle window and we tie the plug in a handkerchief in a situation where we have multiple vehicles to work on.” In his confessional statement to the RRS operatives, Sodiq told the officers that Saidu was a security guard who works for a company located on that street where they were arrested and had earlier in the day called Ridwan who is the leader of the team to come feast on vehicles belonging to their company which are parked outside the company’s premises but which he Saidu is supposed to guard.

 On getting the hint, Ridwan and Sodiq set to action and got to the venue around 1:00 a.m. The broke into two Toyota Hiace and two Toyota Hilux belonging to the company who employed Saidu as night guard stealing their brain boxes before another security nearby raised alarm. This led to their arrest. Sodiq was caught with three boxes while Ridwan fled with one. Sodiq was thereafter taken to RRS Headquarters, where he confessed the involvement of Saidu. He disvlosed that he invited them for the operation and was reported to have slept beside the vehicles, which they vandalized and stole from while Saidu cooperated and pretended like nothing was happening.

Nigerian man Returns Over N2.2b Naira Wrongly Credited To His Account

Peace Mass Transit Chairman Returns Over N2.2bn Wrongly Credited To His Account .The Managing Director of Peace Mass transit, Dr. Maduka Onyishi has returned a whopping sum of N2,219,500,000 which was wrongly paid into his account to First Bank.

 The cheque was received on behalf of First Bank by the Business Manager, Commercial Banking, Mr Kokelu Ben and the Branch Manager, Unity Bank, Enugu Branch, Mrs Ifeoma Eleanya. Dr Onyishi who explained how he discovered the huge sum in his First Bank account said that he had requested for $3m from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN through Unity Bank PLC only to be paid $10m instead, which is about N3,219,500,000 representing an excess of N2,219,500,000. 

According to him,

“The amount they paid in was N3,219,500,000 but my own money there is N1,000,000,000 so the balance is not my money. I said that I cannot invest this money and be gaining from another person’s money and I can’t also keep it. I can’t keep $7m Dollars that doesn’t belong to me. “I told my bank to pay money into my account that I want to take 3 million dollars and they paid ten Million Dollars instead. I called them and informed them that the amount they paid to me was more than the amount I requested.

They told me that the ten million Dollars was my money. “I was angry with them. I asked them how come I have this kind of money and I’m not aware of it. I asked them how come they went ahead to invest my money without telling me so that I can use my money and then I can know how much I have. “I told them that they have failed to give me a statement of my account even when I have demanded for it severally. I discovered later that the amount was even more than what we are talking about because there was another person I asked the bank to pay money to whom they even paid extra. “I made enquiries and they told me that I should wait until when it is time for banks to do reconciliation, they will discover whether the fault was from First Bank, Central Bank or Unity Bank.

 According to CNN, Basil builds the games using Scratch 2, a free programming application, which allows users to create games, animations, and stories. It takes him about 30 minutes to create a new mobile game.

The boy, who expressed his liking for building animal games, race games, and running games, is aspiring to become a scientist. Basil’s games are still in their raw form and can currently only be accessed on computers that have Scratch 2 installed but one of the games, frog attack, will be available to the public on Google play store in August.

Federal High Court Ikoyi Grants Maurice Iwu N1bn Bail.

Court Grants Maurice Iwu N1bn Bail. The Federal High Court Ikoyi has granted bail to Professor Maurice Iwu to the tune of N1 billion. Professor Iwu was being arraigned on four counts of concealment, fraud and money laundering to the tune of N1.2bn.

 In the charge, the EFCC alleged that Professor Iwu aided the concealment of the above sum between December 2014 and March 2015. The money is believed to be part of the N23.29b slush funds allegedly shared by former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke, to influence the outcome of the 2015 presidential elections.

 Professor Iwu, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his lawyer, Ahmad Raji (SAN) asked the court to grant him bail on the grounds of self-recognizance and secondly on liberal terms.

 The prosecution lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo, on the other hand, said there was evidence of the possibility of the defendant intimidating or interfering with the witnesses if he was granted bail, and therefore, urged the court to use its discretion not to grant the bail. After listening to both arguments, however, Justice Chuka Obiozor granted the bail while also requesting for two sureties and insisting that Mr Iwu must not communicate with any of the witnesses.

Busola Dakolo Narates "How I was forced by Police to sign letter countering rape case." ~ Busola Dakolo Busola Dakolo, celebrity photographer, says she was forced by police at gun-point to sign a document countering her rape allegations against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) church. Busola, wife of Timi Dakolo, Nigerian singer, had alleged that the pastor had sexual relations with her when she was 16 going on 17 in Ilorin.

 In an interview with UK Guardian , she narrated how she was forced into a van by some armed men who mandated her to speak with their superior officer in Pidgin language. She also recounted how she was handed a document containing allegations of “criminal conspiracy, falsehood, mischief and threat to life” to sign.

 According to her, the contents of the letter were not levelled against Fatoyinbo but against she and her husband. “One was holding a gun and the second, a letter. They told me they were from IG’s (inspector general of police) office in Abuja and that I needed to sign this letter and acknowledge it,” Dakolo said. The incident, she said, occurred after a tinted mini bus followed her while she was driving into her home in Lagos. On July 23, Dakolo and her husband were invited by the special tactical squad of the inspector general of police (IGP) for questioning over allegations of “falsehood and criminal conspiracy,” albeit, without extending the gesture to Fatoyinbo.

“Our culture doesn’t allow speaking of these sorts of things against anointed men of God. They’d rather hide it, and the party that is being victimized tends to live with that self-blame,” she said. “The damage on the survivor is extremely terrible but the society, the church, keeps sweeping things under the carpet.” Meanwhile, Paator Fatoyinbo returned to the pulpit on August 4, a month after stepping aside for the issue to be investigated.

Eye-witness report on how Sowore was arrested  at gun point by DSS At around past 1am, the armed men knocked on the door. I noticed immediately that these knocks were strange. And didn't open. I looked and I saw men armed to the teeth.

They started forcing their way in like armed robbers. But I knew they were DSS men, knowing fully well the attention. RevolutionNow has garnered. Sowore wanted to open at first but I immediately told him who they are. He retreated and like magic, he was not in the room when they forced their way in- 8 of them.

That was when he managed to tweet. By this time, I had been beaten and handcuffed. Phones were snatched from me. An order to block all exits came from the leader when Sowore was not found inside. He was later arrested at the gym in a gestapo manner and dragged after a bit altercation. They removed my handcuffs and I quickly seized that opportunity to drive his car (I drive him) to block their SIENNA and Hilux they came in.

They hit the Lexus Jeep like kidnappers would do to make way for themselves. I followed them immediately till we got to CMD road around Ketu when one of them came down from the SIENNA and corked his gun, threatening to shoot me. I had to escape at that point.

Governor of Imo state has awarded full University scholarship to Stephany Chizobam Ugboaja and Favor Alozie for their hard work

Emeka Ihedioha, Governor of Imo state has awarded full academic scholarship to study in any university to the two best students from the state who came first and second in the 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The students are Stephany Chizobam Ugboaja and Favor Alozie, who both scored ‘A1’ in all subjects in the 2019 WASSCE.

The gesture of sponsoring the students in any university of their choice in the country by Imo State Government is a celebration of excellence and hard work.
