Ebola im Kwara State in Nigeria as a New suspect emerges
The Chairman, Ebola Viral Disease Control Committee, Kwara State, Prof. Sunday Opabola, on Thursday said that a suspected case of Ebola disease has been reported in the state.
He stated that the suspect is a seven-month old baby, who came with his parents from Ibadan for a visit at Ilorin.
Addressing journalists in Ilorin on Thursday, he stated that it has not yet been confirmed that the child is infected with Ebola and that there is no confirmed case of the disease in the state, as being rumoured. He added that residents of the state should not panic.
Opabola, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, on Public Health, clarified that the baby, who was on Wednesday suspected to have been infected with Ebola, was found with some symptoms, which he said are not exclusive to Ebola disease.
According to him, the symptoms also manifest with patients of Lassa fever, cholera, malaria and some other diseases.
Opabola said that the baby initially manifested symptoms of malaria, and after treating him for about two days without improvement, his mother was advised to take him to a private paediatric specialist hospital in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
He added that after a clinical assessment on the patient by the medical director of the hospital, the baby was diagnosed with Ebola-like symptoms, such as fever, diarrhoea and vomiting of contents that partly contained blood.
According to him, the doctor consequently made a report of the baby’s case to the relevant government agency for necessary actions.
He stated that the government has temporarily closed down the private hospital where the baby was initially admitted.

Some staff and passengers fled the scene following the man’s collapse, as they feared he was infected with the deadly Ebola Virus Disease.

“The passenger, Osei, took ill on Saturday August 9 and started stooling. When the situation got worse, he called his doctor in Accra, who instructed him to return to Ghana immediately for further treatment.
“During boarding formalities for his return trip to Accra at the international terminal of MMA, Osei, who had obviously become weak at this time, was subjected to Ebola Virus test by port health officials, the result of which was negative. Ebola Scare..Nigeria has suspended the Gambian national airline from flying into Nigeria
Nigeria has suspended the Gambian national airline from flying into the country, alleging "unsatisfactory" measures by the airline to contain the spread of Ebola virus, officials said on Sunday.
The "NCAA (Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority) has reviewed the measures put in place by your airline as contained in your letter of 30th July, 2014 and have found these measures unsatisfactory," NCAA said in a letter to Gambia Bird Airlines.
"Consequently, your flights into Nigeria have been temporarily suspended with immediate effect until such a time that you are able to put in place acceptable and satisfactory measures," said the letter, a copy of which was sent to AFP.
The contents of the airline's letter to the NCAA were not disclosed.
NCAA is the government agency that serves as watchdog for all airlines operating in the country.
The Gambian national carrier flies to Lagos twice weekly. It also flies to other African countries in the region: Cameroon, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia and Senegal.
NCAA said that part of its efforts to curb the spread of the virus was to to direct all airlines operating into Nigeria from Guinea, Freetown and Monrovia "to put in place adequate measures to ensure that passengers with this disease are not boarded and brought into the country."
"Such measures may include suspension of flights into these countries," NCAA added.

President Jonathan: Boko Haram Are Our Siblings, We Can’t Send Army To Kill Them. . Read!
On August 2nd of 2012, Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan famously said:
“They (Boko Haram) are our siblings and you cannot send the army to wipe out your family…. We are handling them with a soft approach.”
In reaction to this, Nigeria went in uproar. The notorious Femi Fani-Kayode commented, “He is a weak, cowardly, sad and confused man.” [Facebook, August 13, 2012]
The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, got so upset they asked for the president to resign; they said, “Jonathan has failed us Christians, he has failed Nigerians and he should resign because by this statement, it is very clear that he is not capable of handling the danger pose by the Boko Haram insurgency.” Further reacting, “So the security agents who are being killed by the Boko Haram are not members of this family?” and also querying why Jonathan was opposed to the designation of Boko Haram as a terrorist organization as demanded by most Nigerians.
Fast forward to 2014, the president reaffirmed in Namibia, that he indeed had continued handling Boko Haram, his siblings with “kid gloves.”

While preaching a sermon titled; ‘The yoke-destroyer’ at the on-going annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor EA.Adeboye narrated a ministry and life-threatening incident that occurred one time in his life and how it took the grace of God to overcome it.
The general overseer , told his story of how a Lagos socialite tried to seduce him .While preaching a sermon titled; ‘The yoke-destroyer’ at the on-going annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor EA. Adeboye narrated a ministry and life-threatening incident that occurred one time in his life and how it took the grace of God to overcome it.
The general overseer or daddy GO as he is fondly called, told his story of how a Lagos socialite tried to seduce him but escaped with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Drawing inspiration from the bible which tells of some men of God who have undergone similar experiences, he narrated that a high profile woman who was an executive of the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, did everything to seduce him.
According to him, the woman came to him and announced to him that God had told her that he would be her husband, and immediately he rebuked her, saying “you know that I am happily married and have children.”
That didn’t deter the woman who continued to pester him, and even came to the camp to threaten him, saying “if you stand in my way to marrying this man, I will kill you.”
Pastor Adeboye continued his experience, he said he took the matter to then Inspector General of Police who immediately invited the woman and her husband to his office and after a meeting banned the randy woman from entering the Redemption Camp or ever making passes at the man of God.
“But that measure didn’t stop her. I travelled to London without telling anybody, to work on the church’s devotional, Open Heaven. As soon as I settled down in the room, the telephone rang and the voice at the other end said: “welcome to London. I am coming in 15 minutes,” Daddy GO continued.
Continuing, he said he told the voice: “You don’t know anything, you know that the Police in London are very efficient and if you dare come here, I will call the Police for you.” “There is a Police station a few meters from where I am staying and she must have known that because she didn’t come but kept calling me.”
“I cried to God Who told me ‘You know of the scripture that says, whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven.’ Believe me honestly, unless God helps, there are things you cannot handle on your own,” he stated.
After his narration, he urged the large crowd to stand and pray with holy anger saying :“Anyone hindering my progress, before this month is over, Holy Spirit send down Your fire to consume them”.educe him but escaped with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Cry...... for the experimental drugs currentlye being used for US doctors who are also down with the virus.
Unknown to Justina she went online after Mr Sawyer died and thanked God she wasn’t infected and also thanked God for the lives of her colleagues and the hospital management not knowing she has also been infected with the virus. Continue below...

According to the admin of the Facebook group, Justina went into quarantine after that post and has now tested positive to Ebola.
