U.S. President, Joe Biden has stated :US would respond if Russia uses chemical weapons in Ukraine

U.S. President, Joe Biden has stated that the United States will respond if Russia were to use chemical weapons in its invasion of Ukraine.

Accordingly to Biden, who attended a NATO, EU and G7 summit in Brussels on Thursday, March 24, the US' response would depend on the kind of weapons of mass destruction, Russian president, Vladimir Putin will deploy.

"So you've warned about the real threat of chemical weapons being used. Have you gathered specific intelligence that suggests that President Putin is deploying these weapons, moving them into position or considering their use? And would the US or NATO respond with military action if he did use chemical weapons?" the Associated Press asked the US President during his news conference.

Biden responded that he could not provide information on intelligence, but added on the issue of chemical weapons;

"We would respond if he uses it. The nature of the response would depend on the nature of use."

Also earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance will reinforce its chemical, biological and nuclear defense systems on fears Russia is planning to use such weapons against the people of Ukraine.

Biden said "we're determined to sustain" efforts outlined during the emergency NATO meeting right after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and "to build on them."

"The United States is committed to provide over $2 billion in military equipment to Ukraine since I became president. Anti-air systems, anti-armor systems, , ammunition and our weapons are flowing into Ukraine as I speak. And today, I am announcing the United States is prepared to commit more than $1 billion in humanitarian assistance to help get relief to millions of Ukrainians affected by the war in Ukraine," Biden said.

Biden said the US is ready to welcome 100,000 Ukrainian refugees in to the country.

Biden also said Putin thought he could catch NATO off guard, but said his actions in Ukraine only tightened the alliance .

"NATO has never, never been more united than it is today. Putin is getting exactly the opposite what he intended to have as a consequence of going into Ukraine," he said.

Oba Of Lagos Rilwan AkioluAppreciate The Effort Of Army During EndSARS

The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, has praised the Nigerian army for its intervention during #EndSARS protests despite sweeping criticisms of the latter for opening fire on unarmed protesters at Lekki Tollgate.

In October 2020, thousands of youth demonstrated across the country for days in protest against decades of police brutality and other human rights abuses by defunct police department tagged Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

Mr Akinolu who hosted the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Farouk Yahaya, at his palace on Tuesday, said although several Nigerians criticised the army for shooting protesters, he appreciated their efforts.

“I appreciate the efforts of the Nigerian Army during the #EndSARS’ protest.

“Many people criticised them for coming out during the protest but it was good they came out when the police could no longer handle the situation,” he said.

Ooni of Ife reveals herbs Suitable for Coronavirus prevention .

The Ooni of Ife, Enitan Ogunwusi, has made revelations about the novel coronavirus. On Monday, the Ooni recalled that a divine proclamation came out to the world last year, June 6th, 2019, during the World Ifa Festival – Otura Meji.

The statement was posted on his Twitter account. “We foretold about the impending rage of this invisible pandemic war, but few heard us”, the monarch said.

“Please note that Efod/Urim and Thurim are in the holy Books. They are the same as our ancient readings that have not failed us till date. On this throne, I work very closely with all the nations of the world most especially the nation of Cuba.

“Centuries go by, the nation of Cuba hold dearly the tenets of our ancestors and rely on the blessings of the mystery of nature, and as a result they have the best medical care in the world. They are the ONLY country that have come out boldly to help the world.” He stated that the Almighty is above religion and he is moving now; that the world will now respect nature wholly.

“To solve this ailment is through natural elements put together above all from nature. It has been tested!!! I have used it and also used it for some of the chronic Corona patients with testimonials.” He challenged researchers both in Nigeria and the world to put these natural herbs into clinical medicine and extract the vaccines from it.

The Ooni further expressed readiness to work with them and provide huge access to the herbs.

Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State speaks on inherited N100Billion debt

"I met N300Million in Anambra State treasury and inherited N100Billion debt."

~Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State.

“..In terms of debt I inherited, it runs into hundreds of billions of naira. In terms of cash, we met about 300 million Naira only.

In fact, let’s not talk about it. Our treasury is funny. But I hope we shall make money henceforth to help us fulfil our promises for infrastructure and development of the state. But in terms of what I met in our coffers, my brother, it’s pathetic. Please, let us not go there.

God will help us.”⁣

Dangote Jobs in Lekki fertiliser plant

Dangote’s $2.5 billion fertiliser plant to generate over $400m annual foreign exchange

President Muhammadu Buhari will visit Lagos for the inauguration of Dangote’s $2.5 billion fertiliser plant on Tuesday, 22nd March 2022.

Buhari will be joined by the Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as well as the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Mahmouds Abubakar, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Adeniyi Adebayo and Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, for the inauguration ceremony of what has been described as Africa’s largest granulated urea fertiliser complex.

According to reports, the ceremony is set to officially kick off at 10 am.

Investors King also gathered that the new fertiliser plant occupies 500 hectares of land in Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos Nigeria.

Although arguably rich in agriculture and blessed with fertile lands, Nigeria’s dependency on fertiliser is growing by the day and this is also important for the mass production of certain food products across the country. The Dangote fertiliser plant is also coming up at a time when stakeholders have expressed the need to create an even better Nigeria where food security is sure.

According to Dangote, Nigeria is estimated to need about five to seven million metric tonnes of fertilisers per annum. However, the current level of fertiliser utilisation in Nigeria is 1.5 million metric tonnes. The company also went ahead to disclose that it has been positioned to produce over three million metric tonnes per annum of urea fertiliser in phase one of operations. Dangote also revealed that the company will work with agriculture stakeholders and development partners with state governments across Nigeria, as well as across Africa – provided that they are looking for a sustainable approach to improve soil and farm yields.

Investors King also gathered that plans are already on the way for expanding production to provide more than the plant’s three million metric tonnes per annum capacity and to produce multiple grades of fertilisers to meet soil, crop and climate-specific requirement for the African continent.

Dangote is one of the few Nigerian-owned enterprises that has made strong commitments to providing sustainable solutions across a number of sectors and the diversification of the business to the agriculture sector in Nigeria is also one that has been welcomed across boards. Over the years, Dangote has created sustainable environmental management practices, and products through a proactive approach that addresses the challenges of climate change and global warming.

While Dangote is also making a commitment to the sustainability of the environment, the establishment of this fertiliser plant will also lead to employment opportunities for Nigeria and reduce the country’s importation of fertilisers.
