The United States has warned Zambia that the international community is aware of how donor funds have been diverted for corrupt, personal or political use. The US government has also cautioned President Edgar Lungu to be more responsive to the needs of all citizens, urging him to focus less on constant campaigning and stop harassing his opponents.

I was introduced to the church in Abuja by my childhood friend, who moved to Abuja from Calabar two years before I did. When I joined, she was also a PCU worker.

I really felt welcome in the church up until my friend started having problems with other women. She told me it was because Pastor Biodun trusted her with so many official things even above workers that were there before her. I believed her until the day she had an misunderstanding with another worker who called her 'Ashewo Mary Magdalene' in the church. After that, her enthusiasm for church started waning while mine was getting stronger till the day she told me she was leaving the church and shortly after she left. By that time, Pastor Biodun had developed an interest in counseling me and then started telling me to take my friends place as a PCU worker.

I was reluctant because I didnt feel like coming to church early and leaving late but Pastor Zbiodun assured me that his personal driver will pick me and drop me off and so I agreed. I started work as arranged but after a while, I noticed that the pastor did not respect personal space when talking to me when we were alone. He would stand soooooo close and rub my upper arms or my back which made me very uncomfortable. The final straw was when he said I should go with him to Lagos to take notes and transfer same online immediately for some Pentecostal thing he was attending and he knew I was very computer literate. I was excited till we reached Lagos and I realized that only one room was booked at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi. Of course I complaint and the Pastor called the front desk ( or pretended to) to demand for another room. He said they would call back when the room was ready. He then told me to help massage his back becos he has back ache from sitting on the flight. I said I was tired since it was already after 8.

He then insisted I lay down on the bed to rest while waiting. I said I preferred to sit at the desk and he laughed saying that I was acting like a small girl or a village uneducated girl. He then went in to take a shower. I then called the front desk to remind then about the extra room. I wasn't surprised when I was told that they had vacant rooms and that nobody had requested for an extra room. By this time, I knew what was up and was ready for the fool. I opened his pouch and saw his wallet which had his lisence. Took a picture of the wallet and the Lisence on the pillow on the bed with my head in the shot. I opened the door and took several pictures of myself, the wallet and the Lisence with the room number. Came back in, once I heard the shower stop, I started audio recording on my BB.

Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown said when police searched Ayoola A. Ajayi’s home with a warrant earlier this week, they found burned evidenceincluding the belongings and remains of Mackenzie Lueck, 23,  according to the Associated Press.

Lueck was last seen June 17 by a Lyft driver who picked her up from the Salt Lake City airport and dropped her off at a park, where she reportedly met with someone in a car. Police now believe that man was Ajayi, 31.

 A decomposing body of a 16-year-old housemaid allegedly killed and dumped in the bush by the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Mashi Local Government Area, Garba Talawai, has been found by the police.

 The deceased teenager, Rabi Abdullahi, was a housegirl to the DPO’s girlfriend, Sadiya Danyaya. DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the DPO, who allegedly impregnated the girl, made unsuccessful efforts to abort the pregnancy that resulted to the death of the girl. “When he realised that she died, the DPO sought the help of another policeman to dump the body in the bush,” said a source in the town who preferred not to be named. Already the Katsina Police Commissioner, Sanusi Buba, has ordered the arrest and detention of Mr Talawai, a superintendent of police, after a preliminary report indicted him in the murder. In a statement by the command’s spokesman, Gambo Isa, Rabi’s corpse was discovered at a bush path in Mashi on Thursday.

 Mr Isa, a superintendent of police, noted that while at the hospital, some staff identified the corpse to be the one brought by the DPO and one policeman on Wednesday. According to the spokesman, the DPO’s girlfriend had confirmed to the police that Rabi was her maid and that she had been missing since Wednesday — an incident she reported to the DPO. Safiya told investigators that Rabi went missing after she rebuked her for carrying unwanted pregnancy.

A 67-year-old woman has been arraigned before the Lagos State Magistrate Court at Igbosere, Lagos, for allegedly hacking into a First Bank Plc account and stealing N16.2million.

The woman, Wuraola Folashade Oluloye, was arraigned on a five-count charge of fraudulent diversion, was arrested following a complaint from Solomon Akhanolu, Head of the Department of Forensic Auditors of First Bank.

Oluloye pleaded not guilty to the five counts and was granted bail by Folashade Olukoya, the presiding magistrate and the chief magistrate of Igbosere court. She is to raise N500, 000 in bail bond and provide two sureties in like sum.

Oluloye would be remanded in Kirikiri Prison custody until she meets her bail conditions

George Nwosu, the prosecution counsel, said Oluloye committed the alleged offences between last October 16 and December 31, at First Bank’s Agidingbi Branch, Lagos.

He said the 67-year-old woman allegedly hacked the account of a First Bank customer, Emefiele Ogbor, with account No 3014419974, and withdrew N16,200,000 from there and transferred same to her accounts in Stanbic IBTC, Union, Sterling and First banks.

Shortly afterwards Oluloye showed up at the bank to make withdrawals from her account. Unknown to her, the police were waiting and she was arrested.

The alleged offences contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, the court heard. The defendant pleaded not guilty.

The case continues on June 24.

The man that vandalised diplomats’ vehicles in London has been unveiled. Jeffrey Ewohime, a UK-based Nigerian was born on August 5, 1987, Ewohime had visited the commission to collect his passport which had expired since November 2017, according to Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chief executive officer of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).

But the major problem the young man encountered was that he got to the commission one hour after the collection of passports was supposed to end. The passport of Ewohime had been available since June 6 but it could not be delivered because the owner left no self-addressed envelope. Dabiri-Erewa said while at the commission on Monday, he did not fulfill all the necessary requirements to obtain his passport. Rather than resolve all this, rage took over him, leading to the shattering of windscreen of seven expensive vehicles, including two, said to be owned by guests of a hotel around the commission, and the law is about taking its course.

 In a statement it released on Monday, the immigration condemned Ewohime’s action. “The attention of the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede MFR has been drawn to a very disturbing incident where a citizen who went to our Mission in London for Passport services,” the statement read.

“He arrived late and was told by the Security that the Mission has closed for the day. He went about destroying Nigeria’s diplomatic vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of tax payers money. “The Passport in question has been issued since 6th of June 2019. He did not leave any self-addressed envelope for delivery.” Dabiri-Erewa said Emohime had been arrested.

The Deportation of foreigners living in Nigeria illegally to commence soon - NIS . . Foreigners living in Nigeria illegally will soon be hit by deportation following a new policy planned by the country’s immigration service which includes granting residence permit to those from other countries .

The warning was handed by the comptroller general of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babban Dede, who said that the policy would commence in the next three months. According to him, any of these foreigners who failed to possess his residence permit before the expiration of the stipulated time would be deported.
