The U.S. Mission to Nigeria on Tuesday announced a new visa renewal process for applicants, tagged Expanded DHL Drop Box Visa programme.

The mission in a statement in Lagos said that the new visa renewal system would commence on June 2.

“The U.S. Mission to Nigeria is pleased to announce the expanded DHL Drop Box Visa Renewal Programme on June 2, 2014.

“This programme allows certain visa applicants who have previously been issued U.S. visas to renew their visas without attending an interview.

“The programme now covers B1/B2 visas that have expired not more than two years prior to re-issuance and F, L and H visas that have expired not more than one year prior to re-issuance,’’ it said.

The statement advised applicants to visit the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria’s Website for information on the needed criteria for renewals.

Actress Taiwo Ajai-Lycett says old people still enjoy sex at old

Hear what she said....... old people still enjoy sex and some are quite sexually active.

"I am an old woman in the play and in real life. I am 73. The society doesn't think older women exist anymore, nobody thinks they feel anything. The people around old women never realize they are going through a turmoil, nobody cares about them. So what I am trying to portray is that it's not over until it is over. That an old woman is still alive in more ways than one, they still have sexual urges, people forget an old woman is human. An old woman enjoys her sexual life more when she no longer thinks about children's school fees, when the children have all gone to their husband's houses or in some cases the boys have married and it remains only the old woman and her husband. It never crosses our mind that these old parents can still get on whenever they like. Do you know that when an old man realizes he is free from child bearing, he becomes promiscuous and they are susceptible to all kinds of diseases. But the old woman is confined to a corner in the house, nobody thinks she is still actually active" she said"

The deceased, identified as Adebola Ladoja, was driving a Golf saloon car, marked, AKD 107 CJ, and was said to be on his way to Lagos Island when a Daf truck, with number plate, JJJ 59 XA, driven by one Justice Oseghai, rammed into his car on the Eko Bridge.

An eyewitness said the driver of the Daf truck, who was on top speed, lost control of his vehicle, rammed into the median of the bridge, before he eventually crashed into the deceased’s car.

MISSING FUND..We Indicted Diezani Madueke..Senate Committee

Contrary to media reports purporting to suggest that the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, and the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) have been absolved of any blame concerning the unaccounted for oil fund, former governors of Kaduna and Kwara States, Ahmed Makarfi and Bukola Saraki, have said the report of the Senate Finance Committee actually indicted the minister and the oil corporation.

The submitted report had stated that neither the $48.9 billion nor $20 billion belonging to the federal government was missing, as alleged by the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

Makarfi, who spoke in an interview with journalists in Kaduna, said it would be too hasty to conclude that the report of his committee would be the final one on the controversies surrounding the unaccounted for funds because certain recommendations in the report are interim.

According to the former Kaduna governor, since there is an ongoing forensic audit on the issue, it was proper to wait for its outcome.
“I will not want to say our report is the final report because certain recommendations in the report are interim.  There is an ongoing forensic audit and we said that will be subject to the outcome of the forensic audit.

“Where there was dispute was between the figure of $20 billion and $10.8 billion. Even that dispute was not that it was really missing. What has been done with that money? Nobody said at that time that the money was missing.
“A party alleged that it was not remitted to the federation account.  If it was not remitted to the federation account, it can be hanging in one account or the other.

“We were to find out where that money was. We took the larger figure of $20 billion, not the other figure of $10.8 billion and let’s see what happened to the money.

“Out of that $20 billion, over $5 billion was spent on petrol payments. We tried to find out whether that money was appropriated, we checked the budgets of the relevant years and we found out that the National Assembly appropriated the money and it was expended. So if the National Assembly appropriated the money for it to be expended, you cannot talk of money missing,” he said.

On his part, Saraki, who is also the vice-chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, faulted media reports, claiming that the committee had cleared NNPC of any unaccounted for revenue fund.

Saraki made the clarification in a statement issued by his special assistant on media, Mr Bankole Omishore, in Ilorin yesterday.
"Though I could not attend the last meeting of the committee, I have been very active in the investigation, nothing significant has changed to suggest clearing anybody.

"I can say on behalf of the committee that these media reports bear no correlation to the content of the Senate committee report and I would urge the public to disregard it in its entirety.

"The committee is yet to receive the report on the forensic audit and independent analysis on the subject clearly indicate we have a lot of grounds to cover in order to determine the level of culpability or otherwise of the agency on the alleged non-committal, so to suggest any clearance for anybody at this stage is out of the question.

"I will further advise that the media should wait for the Senate to release the details of the committee report to the public before they jump into spurious conclusions," he said.

The committee’s report had however said the NNPC has to remit $262 million to the federation account, while maintaining that the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Petroeluem Resources had reconciled $47 billion of the unaccounted for revenue, which it said had been remitted into the federation account.

The report had further wondered how Sanusi arrived at the figures he alleged to be unremitted. The report had however indicted the Ministry of Finance, CBN and the NNPC for what it described as lack of coordination in record keeping as it concerns remitting crude oil proceeds.

Update on Pastor Oyakhilome's marriage to his wife of many years.

Pastor Chris’s wife, Mrs Anita Oyakhilome who heads their UK headquarters branch has not been seen in the church she pastors for months now and it has left a lot of people wondering what could have gone wrong.

According to some of the church officials who had a meeting with pastor Chris when he flew to London said, even though the pastor wasn’t pleased with what was going on in the house of God (UK headquarters) that he feels his wife thinks she is more superior than a lot of leaders in the church which isn’t supposed to be so, and has started displaying it in her ways.

Summary of pastor Chris Oyakhilome's Speech on 16/05/2014 in a meeting with all UK Pastors and Deacons at Christ Embassy, Bermondsey.

I am here for your concerns about the ongoing domestic issue with my wife and I know it affects you directly, being the ones under her leadership.

This is not an organisation or a political party, so it's not a place for you to air your opinion or scrutinise what we do. We had a vision, started and you joined us. If you don't like what we do, you can get out.

Churches where members air their views never grow.

Some pastors wives think when they marry a pastor they are equal to the pastor. My wife thinks so, as a matter of fact, Rev. Tom was her pastor before I married her and Rev. Ray and Evang. Owase were her leaders long before I married her. How come she thinks she's senior to them now?

I already started Christ Embassy before I married her. I didn't marry her and said we should start Christ Embassy. I was already pastoring. I already set my sail and knew my direction before I married her. I only said come and help me.

Be careful of the friends you keep. My wife keeps friends who bring out the worst in her and help her see the worst in people instead of keeping friends that will help her vision especially as the wife of a global pastor like me.

Bitterness is prolonged and accumulated anger. My wife is always angry and bitter.

Allegations are either false or twisted information. The current situation is not as a result of what I did or what I didn't do. I didn't do anything to have caused an upheaval.

You don't join a woman to fight her husband.

I'm not teaching you what is wrong, at least I have 2 girls who will one day marry and I want to them to enjoy it.

See below.
Fellow Nigerians,

1.   I greet and felicitate with you all, today, as we mark 15 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in our beloved country.

2.  Our dear nation, Nigeria, has certainly come a long way and made notable progress since our first Democracy Day on May 29, 1999 when the military finally relinquished power and handed over to a democratically-elected government, marking the true beginning of a government of the people, by the people, for the people.”

3.  Although I have ordered a low-key commemoration of this year’s Democracy Day in deference to the current mood of the nation, there can be no doubt that the past 15 years, the longest period of sustained democratic governance in our country, have been a blessing to us, as a people.

4.  As we commemorate 15 years of our Fourth Republic today therefore, I believe that it is fitting that we pay tribute once again to all those who played a part in restoring our nation to the true path of democratic governance, built on the foundations of rule of law and freedom of expression.
