A lady was caught in Ijebu Ode trying to kidnap a young child for sale

In Odi-Olowo street ijebu-ode along Ondo Benin  were yesterday in a shocked state as a female kidnapper was caught and attacked by a mob.

The suspected kidnapper was reportedly in her late forties. According to an eyewitness suspect was seen displaying and acting like a mentally deranged person around 4:37pm on Sunday, 25th May. She then eventually entered a house to pick a little child who was all alone at home.

After being attacked repeatedly, the woman eventually confessed that she was sane and that she does not suffer from any mental illness. She added that she wanted to kidnap the child to sell him in order to make ends meet. She also revealed that her kidnapping squad is made up of six women who journey between Enugu to Ijebu-Ode for the sole purpose of kidnapping children.

Other eyewitnesses also revealed that new Naira notes summing up to about N150, 000 was discovered with her. When asked where she got the money from, she said she sold a child to someone and that was her payment.

The men of the police force eventually intervened and arrested the woman two hours after the mob started the jungle  justice
