Ebola out break in pourthacourt caused by Late Dr Ikechukwu Sam Enemuo

late Dr Ikechukwu Sam Enemuo was rushed to Good Heart Hospital in pourthacourt after he took ill with symptoms of Ebola. He was said to have operated on a Liberian diplomat who presumably had contact with Mr Sawyer. He Fell ill and died last Friday. He was ill for 3 days...then started vomiting blood with bloody diarrhea. He was initially rushed to Prime Hospital pourthacourt ..where he was rejected and then taken to Good heart whose MD is a Cardiologist ..a consultant physician with UPTH. He died there. Good heart is on EVO road in GRA pourthacourt  The Doctor that died practices in East West Road Rumuokoro...Sam Steel clinic. The wife also a Doctor has a 3-month old baby. There may have been well over 200 contacts of this devilish diplomat who lured his young Doctor friend to treat him secretly and went back to Lagos. I hear he has eventually submitted himself for Ebola check in a bid to get a clearance certificate to fly out..he tested positive and is now quarantined in lagos..It's quite a calamity unfolding in pourthacourt  Unfortunately pourthacourt health facilities are not quite ready to contain Ebola at the moment. There are American experts and federal and WHO health workers in town however training Doctors and other health workers and helping out with contact tracing etc .Meanwhile about 170 people have been quarantined by the latest ebola virus detection in Ph because the late doctor came in contact and treated many people.

Pope Francis - “I Could Quit Like Benedict Or Even Pope Francis Predicts - “I Could Quit Like Benedict Or Even Die By 2017″

Pope Francis has suggested that he might one day resign the papacy like his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI did last year, which would make him the second consecutive Pope to do so after almost 600 years.

He said this while speaking with reporters on his way back to Rome after his state visit to South Korea.

“Some theologians may say this is not right, but I think this way. Let us think about what [Benedict XVI] said, “I have gotten old, I do not have the strength”, it was a beautiful gesture of nobility, of humility and courage.

But you could say to me, if you at some time felt you could not go forward, I would do the same.”
Asked about his immense popularity, the Pope, 77, joked that he would probably die in the next 2/3 years so should not get too proud:

“I know this will last a short time, two or three years, and then to the house of the Father.” he said

Woman arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos for attempting to smuggle over 6 kilogrammes of drugs

Ezeh Ifeoma Maureen, a 37-year-old mother of three, was arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos for allegedly attempting to smuggle over 6 kilogrammes of dried weeds that tested positive for cannabis, to China.

Maureen was caught during passenger-screening procedures for a  China-bound Ethiopian Airlines’ flight, The Nation reports.

When questioned about the contents of her luggage, she reportedly told National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) officials that they contained food items and vegetables.

Maureen, who is from Anambra State, has denied the drug trafficking allegations. She says:

“I am a business woman; I sell women’s clothes at the Onitsha main market. I usually export foodstuff to China and import female dresses to Nigeria. One of my customers in China called to tell me that his brother would give me two parcels of vegetables to bring to him. I collected the parcels at the airport from the boy. Unfortunately, when they tested them, I was told that they contained cannabis.”

Stating that Maureen could have been killed for drug trafficking in China had she not been caught in Nigeria, Chairman of the NDLEA Ahmadu Giade, urged Nigerians to desist from drug trafficking. He also warned travellers to avoid carrying goods on anyone’s behalf, who wouldn’t be present during airport screening procedures.

Boko Haram Suspect Sent To Bomb Lagos Airport Others deployed to Apapa, Lagos Island

The Boko Haram suspect who was arrested at National Airport Management Authority (NAMA) annex in Lagos yesterday, confessed last night that he was sent along with other Boko Haram members to Lagos to bomb various parts of the city.

The physically challenged 22-year-old suspect who was caught with canisters around his neck, in his confession, told security operatives that his two other colleagues were assigned the task of bombing Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), as well as the densely populated Lagos Island and Apapa areas of the megacity.
Security source, who spoke exclusively to THISDAY, said the suspect (name withheld) had confessed that he alongside several others were recruited from Niger Republic and were trained extensively before their deployment.

He also said the plot to bomb Lagos would not be simultaneously done, a clear deviation from the planned simultaneous attacks last year March, when the sect tried to bomb various designated places across the state at the same time.
According to him, the attempt by the physically-challenged suspect was the first attempt to bomb Lagos after the twin bomb blasts in Apapa two months ago that claimed no fewer than five persons including the suicide bomber.
A security official, who spoke to THISDAY on the strict condition of anonymity, said the attempt would have been successful but for the inability of the explosives to detonate when they were supposed to.

He said: “He was caught because when he tried to set off the explosives, there was a hitch. He ran back to an obscure place to check it out and fix it.

His suspicious movement and the frustration evident on his face aroused the suspicion of security operatives attached to NAMA.”

Also speaking, another source from the state security department said already, investigations had kicked off in full gear to round up other suspects who were said to have been deployed to wreak havoc in the state.
The suspect was arrested at the NAMA annex facility, known as CENTREX, about 300 meters from the international terminal of the airport, opposite the airport cathedral.

THISDAY learnt that the suspect was making frantic phone calls, and looked frustrated and restless.
His mannerism and slovenly conduct aroused the suspicion of security personnel who were watching him and subsequently arrested him.

He was taken to the MMIA police station at Beesam junction.
Shortly after his arrest, the police had initially pleaded for more time to undertake the investigation to confirm the identity and mission of the suspect.

There have been more than a thousand deaths in West Africa attributed to the Ebola virus since March.
