A 10-year-old girl with explosives strapped on to her body has been arrested, in Nigeria

Hadiza Musa was arrested along with another girl and a male, Iliya Dahiru. They were all wired up with explosives, travelling in a car at night on Zaria Road in Tundun Wada, Funtua, Katsina State. The arrests were made on Tuesday night.

National Information Centre Coordinator Mike Omeri, who is also the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), broke the news yesterday in Abuja, saying it was an indication that those behind women bombers are not using the abducted Chibok girls as being speculated.

As Omeri spoke in Abuja a female suicide bomber struck in Kano, killing three students at the Kano Polytechnic.

Who are these girls and where are they surfacing from ... Nigerian ask..!

A 35-year-old man, Yinka Offehin,Scrotum was Cut Off By his Landlady Children.

Yinka Offehin, who resides on Popoola Street, off Abaranje Road in the Ikotun area of Lagos is now battling to survive after his scrotum was cut off by the children of his landlady.

According to reports, Yinka was attacked while sleeping in his room with his family members.

His wife, Bisi, who was with him when the incident happened, identified the assailants as Solomon and Damilola, the children of the landlady.

According to  Punch  “On Thursday morning, around 3am, while we were sleeping, we heard loud bangs on our door. We initially thought they were armed robbers because the house beside ours had recently been robbed.

“When they entered, we saw they were children of our landlady. They began destroying our electronics and other property.

“They were two of them. One held a knife in his hand. They took N8, 000. They descended on my husband and he also fought back. In that confusion, my husband shouted and we saw that one of the attackers had cut Yinka’s scrotum. I can’t say what they used to cut off my husband’s scrotum.”

Explaining what led to the unthinkable action, the victim said the genesis of his problem was when he had a misunderstanding with his landlady and was asked to vacate his apartment.

“I was asked to leave the house immediately, but after the intervention of the traditional ruler of the community, I was asked to leave by the end of August.

Jim Iyke fleeing Liberia over Ebola scare. He needs to be tested ....

Controversial Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, caused a stir yesterday, showcasing a dramatic picture that suggested he was fleeing Liberia, for fear of contracting the Ebola virus.

The actor had posted the picture on Instagram, with the caption: “Monrovia unfinished business; leaving tonight. Not ashamed to admit this scares the Jesus outta me ‪#‎Ebola‬.”

But for a mask clutching his nose, the actor was dressed casually, while sitting in the airport’s luxury first-class lounge. His pant was also rolled up, revealing bare legs. He was also spotting a short-sleeved shirt.

In a series of comments that accompanied the story on the social media, fans believed the actor took the virus for a joke.

Obviously, there was a huge contrast between Iyke’s image in a first-class luxury and the thousands of terrified Liberians who are living in fear of contracting the deadly disease. Already, about 600 people are said to have died of the disease in Liberia.

Fans berated the actor for wearing an expensive face mask to protect himself, whereas he was wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt.

Apart from chiding the actor for trivialising the virus, other Nigerians took him to task for travelling back to the country without having been tested to see if he was infected.

“Please ooo, James Ikechukwu, aka Jim Iyke, should be quarantined,” one said.

Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab Bomb failed Due to Dirty Underwear

It has been revealed that the failure of the bombing attempt made in 2009 by Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab failed for the below reasons

US officials have said that the plot to detonate an explosive on board a plane heading toDetroit on Christmas Day was foiled by the fact that Abdulmutallab's underwear was dirty.

It was revealed that the intending bomber had been wearing the same pair of underwear for 2 weeks and so had soiled the explosives, making them ineffective.

Abdulmutallab, who earned himself the nickname "Underwear Bomber", set off the device but only succeeded in causing his underpants to catch fire leading to minor burns on his body but sparing others on board the plane.
John Pistole, the head of the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), said:“He had it with him for over two weeks, Let’s say it was degraded."
27-year-old Abdulmutallab, the son of a former First Bankchairman, was working in connection with terrorist group, Al-Qaeda and has been sentenced to life in prison.

Algerian passenger plane has reportedly disappeared from radar over 110 people missing

Algerian passenger plane has reportedly disappeared from radar while flying from the West African country of Burkina Faso.
The airliner carrying 110 passengers and six crew was flying from Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou to Algiers when it vanished around 50 minutes into the flight.
"In keeping with procedures, Air Algerie has launched its emergency plan," Algeria's APS state news agency quoted the airline as saying.
Flight AH5017 is owned by Spanish private airline Swiftair and operated by Air Algerie.
Swiftair said the aircraft took off from Burkina Faso at 1.17am local time and was supposed to land in Algiers at 5.10am local time but never reached its destination.
The Airbus A320's flight path was not immediately clear.
Ouagadougou is in a nearly straight line south of Algiers, passing over Mali where unrest continues in the north of the country.
However, a senior French official said it is unlikely that fighters in Mali could shoot down a plane.
They are known to have shoulder-fired weapons which could not hit an aircraft travelling at a cruising altitude of some 33,000ft.
