The wife of the deceased Pastor Diya Speaks about her family's Tragedy

Olubunmi Diya Insists Pastor Gabriel Diya & 2 Children Who Drowned Could Swim. The mother of two children who drowned alongside their father while holidaying in Spain has dismissed claims they could not swim and suggested there may have been a problem with the swimming pool in which they died. Gabriel Diya, a 52-year-old Christian Pastor, his nine-year-old daughter, Comfort and his 16-year-old son, Praise-Emmanuel, died on Christmas Eve at the Club La Costa World holiday resort in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol.

The hotel’s owner has said police had found nothing wrong with the pool and officers have concluded the three had got out of their depths and were not strong enough swimmers to get out.

However, Olubunmi Diya said in a statement on Friday that she believed: “something was wrong with the pool that must have made swimming difficult for them at that point in time”. She said she was “utterly heartbroken” at their deaths, which she said happened when she and another sibling, Favour, were present. “The whole family, all five of us, went to the pool together and were all present when the incident occurred. The children were not left unattended. We followed the instructions displayed by the poolside at all times. “Our family are utterly heartbroken by the events last Tuesday but we are comforted and strengthened by our strong faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We are deeply shocked, saddened and struggling to come to terms with their passing. “They all brought a joy and love to the world and to everyone that crossed their path. We love them all dearly, will always remember them in our hearts and miss them greatly.” Following the release of Diya’s statement, the hotel’s owner said: “Diligent and exhaustive police investigations into this tragedy have confirmed that the pool was working normally and there was no malfunction of any kind. Our sympathies remain with the family at what we understand must be a stressful and desperately upsetting time for them.”

Daley-Oladele’s murder: Money ritual did not work, confesses pastor Philip

2. Favour Daley-Oladele

The three killers of 22 year-old LASU Student, Favour Daley-Oladele, wasted her for nothing as their money making ritual was a big flop.

The final year Theatre Arts student was regarded by her parents as their golden girl and they were looking forward to her going for the mandatory one year National Service after graduation.

“It is quite emotional, having raised that girl for that number of years; Favour happens to be a golden girl to the family. We waited for some years before having her, she went to school and when we envisaged that in a few months, she will be going for her NYSC, and start celebrating a female graduate in the house, then some people conspire to kill her is touching”, Favour’s dad declared.

The so-called pastor Segun Philip, who suggested the lady be used for the ritual said on Monday that the ritual failed because the concoction he prepared with the girl’s heart was misapplied.

The pastor, alongside Adeeko Owolabi and his mother Bola, were paraded at the police headquarters in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

Favour disappeared on 8 December 2019, when she went to see her murderous boyfriend Owolabi Adeeko.

Her parents reported her missing to the Mowe Division of Ogun state police, whereupon detectives set out to unravel the mystery. Favour’s telephone led the detectives to the pastor in Osun state.

Philip who confessed to the killing of Favour said he and Owolabi wanted to use Miss Daley-Oladele for money ritual, without the knowledge of Owolabi’s mother.

“What Owolabi and I discussed is that when they use the concoction once, the money will come once, but his mother doesn’t know that; we just told her that when she uses it, she will be receiving contracts from everywhere.

“But the spirit did not bring money at all"

The Operation Lafiya Dole Theatre Command of the Nigerian Army has announced the arrest of Samuel Chikwedum, who was alleged to be the supplier of logistics to Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State. The soldiers arrested Mr Chikwedum while travelling to Baga town, heading towards the Lake Chad region with contraband goods.

According to the army, after he was paraded before journalists, his goods and vehicle were destroyed. Lagos Government warns hospitals to Stop rejecting gunshot, trauma victims

"Stop rejecting gunshot, trauma victims." ~ Lagos Govt. warns hospitals. The Lagos State Government has strongly appealed to all health care providers, including public and private health facilities operating in the State to stop the trend of rejecting gunshot victims and other trauma patients on the excuse of requiring a police report or the need to provide evidence of funds before commencing treatment.

The State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi who issued these statements on Sunday, December 29th while reacting to investigations by the Ministry of Health revealing that some health facilities in the State are in the habit of rejecting or delaying care to trauma victims which has in some cases resulted in avoidable loss of lives, noted that several times such patients are not in a position to discuss the incidence or finance and are often brought in by good Samaritans. He urged hospitals, health centres and clinics to offer immediate comprehensive care to gunshot victims and other trauma patients without let or hindrance in line with the Federal Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshot Act, 2017.

“These deaths would have been avoided if health care providers were conversant with the Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshot Act, 2017 which stipulates that victims of gunshot and traumatic accidents should receive immediate treatment when presenting to healthcare facilities”, the Commissioner stated.

Brigadier General Nengite Arrested After Millions Of Dollars Was Found In Wife's Account

Brig. General Nengite Arrested, After Millions Of Dollars Was Found In Wife's Account In America. One of Nigerian Army’s finest, Brigadier General Charles Nengite, has been arrested by security personnel.

Presently, he is allegedly in detention. His arrest is connected with the ongoing financial probe at the NDDC. President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the setting up of an Interim Management Committee at the NDDC, and ordered a forensic probe into the affairs of the Commission.

The NDDC was set up to massively develop the poverty-stricken, infrastructure - starved oil rich Niger Delta. Sadly, the Commission turned into a cash cow for politicians and their cronies, and made billionaires out of thousands of them while the region suffered criminal neglect. General Nengite’s arrest was triggered by the United States which, allegedly, discovered $16M in his wife’s bank account. Asked to explain how she accumulated so much, she was unable to do so, the report stated. Based on that, it is reported, US anti-graft agencies tipped off its Nigerian counterpart. Her husband, Brig. Nengite, was, therefore, invited for questioning. He was subsequently, allegedly, arrested and detained. Nengite’s troubles is suspected to have started when he was seconded to the NDDC between 2016 and the outgoing 2019.

He was there under the administration of Nsima Ekere and Nelson Brambaifa. Nsima, a former Akwa Ibom Deputy Governor held sway at the Commission until he quit to fly APC’s governorship flag during the 2019 General election. If Nengite is indicted, it will be a huge loss to the Nigerian Army and an end to a brilliant career. Nengite was the best overall graduating officer at the Nigerian War College in his set at the elite College.

Those familiar with the project described it as “a success story” despite the long delay it suffered.

People of Dadin-Kowa and adjoining communities said the power project will add impetus to the socio-economic development of the northern region and the country at large.

Though the project was initiated a year before Nigeria’s independence, the contract for the dam project was not awarded until 1980, and the inauguration eight years later, in 1988, by then military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

The reservoir has a capacity of 800 million cubic meters of water and a surface area of 300 square km.

The dam has potential as a source of fish, but nothing serious was done on the electricity potential until recently.

Ex Governor of Oyo State Ajimobi’s left only N19,000 For the new Gov Seyi Makinde

Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo state, says Abiola Ajimobi, his predecessor, left a balance of N19,000 from N5.2 billion he allegedly withdrew three weeks to handing over power.

The governor disclosed this during a live programme of Oyo state broadcasting corporation, tagged “Live chat with GSM, a quarterly session with the Oyo State Governor”, on Saturday. . . He said the Ajimobi administration was marred by corruption, adding that the persons involved in the N5.2 billion withdrawal will soon be called to explain their roles.

Makinde said the state’s financial status was in a poor state when he assumed office. He added that his administration has increased internally generated revenue after blocking identified loopholes.

“If I should talk about the finances of Oyo state as at the time we came on board, some people will not be able to walk on the streets. Up till date, we have not bought vehicles for the office holders,” he said. . . “If we are to buy official vehicles for myself and other office holders, we will not spend less than N3 billion and we cannot afford that now. Up till today, I am still using my personal cars in office. Our priority is to the people. We prioritise what we can do to the people who gave the opportunity to serve them. . . “On May 6, 2019, three weeks to take over, the last administration withdrew N5.2 billion and spent it to remain N19, 000 by May 29. Soon, those involved will have to explain how they spent the money to the people.” The governor said he was scared when he discovered that Ajimobi’s administration operated over 60 banks.Makinde said his administration has been able to prune down the accounts and centralised it to promote transparency. . . . “When we assumed office, some people came to me and said that this is how they share money. I said don’t share the money to me. Let us use it to better the lives of the people of the state. IGR has gone up a bit because we have blocked loopholes.” The governor said his administration will continue to prioritise the people of the state and deliver on its mandate. Cc thecableng

Quilox Club in Lagos. Sealed by Government.

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed popular Club Quilox, Victoria Island over Noise Pollution and Traffic Congestion. Bala Elkana, the spokesperson of the Lagos state Police command has also confirmed the arrest of Shina Peller, a member of the House of Representatives and owner of Quilox Club in Lagos.

Bala said Peller was arrested by the Police for mobilizing over 60 thugs to attack men of the Maroko Police station. Here is what he said: ”The honorable has a club house. They operated up till 9:00am. The trouble there is all the customers parked on the road and blocked the road and other road users could not access the road because that has been the practice there so it is causing a lot of obstruction for people and hardship for road users.

Now, police went and moved out vehicles that have blocked the road there and towed them to the station. The honorable mobilised thugs, over 60 thugs, to attack Maroko Police station and then moved those vehicles out. Police excercised restraint if not it would have been disastrous. Having respect for him as a honorable member, quickly we also mobilised and he was arrested alongside 5 other thugs. Others were jumping through the fence and ran away but we got him and five others which is the reason for his arrest. He is currently being moved to the state CID for investigation” he said.

He explained that the lawmaker had been warned many times, but he refused to do anything about it. His customers are fond of parking on the road and blocking the road. If you want to pass that place, you will have tough times. "Even Mr Governor was affected this morning. He had to manoeuvre his way through it."

Dasuki speaks on freedom, feud with President Buhari and his trial.

Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, on Wednesday, said he has no feud with Buhari who ordered his incarceration for four years despite meeting bail conditions.

Q: How can you thank Nigerians who have been praying for your release which eventually happened today, you have your freedom?

Dasuki: There are no words enough to show appreciation for all the prayers offered. All we can do is to thank them and pray to God to reward them abundantly. We have seen the results of their prayers.

Q: Seeing that you have spent four years in detention; do you feel healthy or you have certain health challenges?

Dasuki: Thank God I am in full health. I have no ailment at all. VoA: How did you meet your family? Dasuki: Glory to God, everyone is ok.

Q: So what will you say to the federal government?

Dasuki: There is nothing really to say to the government. Everything that happens to an individual is from God. It is only God’s will that will prevail. It is ignorance or lack of faith that pushes some to think that certain individuals are behind their predicaments. Everything is ordained by God. Like you said, I was detained for four year and I am out today. Only God knows tomorrow.

The only thing is that there must be fairness. Whoever goes to the Mosque on Friday must surely have heard the Imam always preach for fairness and honesty. There is a reason for that. Everyone should listen to it.

Q: Are you now returning to court to prove that the allegations against you are not correct?

Dasuki: Of course, I stopped going to the court because I was granted bail but the government refused to release me and I said whenever the bail order is complied with I will appear before the court and defend myself. I am ready.

Q: There are rumours that your predicament is traced to the fact that you were the one who arrested President Buhari during a military coup and you are now paying for it? Dasuki: I am not aware of that. All I know is that everything is from God

Why We Ordered For The Release Of Sowore and Dasuki.

RELEASE OF COL. SAMBO DASUKI (RTD.) AND OMOYELE SOWORE The Office of the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation has reviewed the pending criminal charges against the duo of Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) and Omoyele Sowore.

Whilst the Federal High Court has exercised its discretion in granting bail to the Defendants in respect of the charges against them, I am also not unmindful of the right of the Complainant/Prosecution to appeal or further challenge the grant of bail by the court having regards to extant legal provisions, particularly Section 169 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.

However, my Office has chosen to comply with the court orders while considering the pursuit of its rights of appeal and/or review of the order relating to the bail as granted or varied by the courts. In line with the provisions of Sections 150(1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), and in compliance with the bail granted to Col. Sambo Dasuki (Rtd) (as recently varied by the Court of Appeal) and the bail granted to Omoyele Sowore, I have directed the State Security Services to comply with the order granting bail to the Defendants and effect their release.

The two Defendants are enjoined to observe the terms of their bail and refrain from engaging in any act that is inimical to public peace and national security as well as their ongoing trial which will run its course in accordance with the laws of the land. I wish to reiterate again the utmost regard of my Office for the entire judicial structure of Nigeria.

This administration remains unrelenting in deepening the rule of law and the administration of justice in general. SIGNED ABUBAKAR MALAMI, SAN

Why Turkish Airlines flights to be suspended from Nigeria

Turkish Airlines flights to be suspended from Nigeria over missing luggage issues on Dec.16 if... Turkish Airlines flights into Nigeria will be suspended by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over the perennial cases of missing luggage of passengers, or passengers not arriving alongside their checked-in luggage, if the airline does not resolve the perennial logjam.

The Acting Director-General of the authority, Captain Abdullahi Sidi, noted that the incidents assumed a frightening dimension two weeks ago, adding that all efforts to resolve the issue has proved abortive.

“The incidents have become so bad that the most recent fights arrived without more than 85% of passengers bags on board. Our airport authority has been facing serious crises controlling the passengers at the airport whenever they arrive without their bags. This issue has made passengers to carry out several mob actions at our airport and it is a great threat to our airport facilities.

In view of all these, and the series of meetings held with the Turkish Airlines personnels, which did not yield any solution to this problem, the NCAA is therefore left with no option than to direct Turkish Airlines to suspend its operations into Nigeria until such a time when the airline is ready to operate with the right size of aircraft that can transport all passengers with their bags at the same time. If no remedial action is carried out by your airline, this suspension shall be effective from the 16th of December, 2019.”
