President Buhari has said that the declaration of APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu as President-elect stands and that anyone who is aggrieved with the outcome of the February 25, 2023 Presidential election, should proceed to the court, if they have the locus to do so.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in a statement issued on Thursday, March 9,  titled “At the 5th United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries, LDCs'', disclosed that President Buhari is against any plans to annul the elections which many have said was characterized by irregularities.
According to Garba, President Buhari has said that he will not allow June 12, 1993, saga to repeat itself. He pointed out that before the President's trip to Doha for the UN Conference, there were calls for the cancellation of the elections but that he had always maintained that the outcome of the election will be accepted by his government and must stand.

No Remorse Or What- Police ASP Drambi Vandi asked the High Court to discharge him on the case of Bolanle Raheem

 


Drambi Vandi, the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) alleged to have killed a Lagos-based lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, on Christmas Day, has asked the Lagos State High Court to discharge him because he has no case to answer.

The ASP, who is standing trial before the court, was accused of shooting Mrs. Raheem last December 25, 2033, near Ajah Underbridge, Lagos. The d€ath of the lawyer triggered nationwide uproar as she was eight months pregnant with twins when she was murdered allegedly by Drambi.
Consequently, the Lagos State government filed a m¥rder case against him in accordance with Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015

President Buhari meets Emefiele, Tambuwal, Bagudu over Naira scarcity






President Buhari today February 7 had a closed door meeting with the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Aminu Tambuwal, the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Atiku Bagudu and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, over the scarcity of the three naira notes.



The meeting which took place in the statehouse Abuja also had attendance the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa; as well as the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Lucky Irabor.

Actress, Fathia Williams, has taken to the Instagram page of her ex-husband and fellow actor, Saidi Balogun, to wish him a happy birthday.


The once-married couple share the same birthday, February 5.
Mr Balogun had shared a post on his Instagram page to mark his birthday and in the comment section, the actress said, “Happy birthday daddy Khalid..like in your voice..mama Khalid..many more years.”


Reactions have trailed the move of the actress, with some fans expressing their admiration for her and sending her birthday wishes.
