A passenger boat with more than ten passengers capsized in the afternoon of Monday June 16th in Lagos. According to passengers on the boat, it was heading to Coconot Island from Tincan Island.
The waves from bigger boats that were sailing around them at the time caused the smaller boat they were in lose its balance despite the fact that all the passengers were wearing life jackets, one person drowned and his life jacket was seen floating without him surfacing, Other passengers were rescued. The body of the missing person is yet to be recovered.
